Afghanistan Earthquake Relief
STCO is providing immediate emergency response kits, which include food, water and hygiene kits to families and individuals whose lives have been adversely affected by the earthquakes in Herat Afghanistan. Through STCO’s rapid response, $100 will provide hygiene items and food parcels to alleviate the food insecurity caused by the natural disaster
The Magnitude of the Devastation
Herat bore the brunt of a magnitude 6.8 earthquake, resulting in the loss of more than 2,000 lives, with thousands injured and many more displaced. Essential infrastructure, including homes, schools, and hospitals, have been severely damaged or obliterated entirely.
