The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.
If a Muslim feels the pain of his or her fellow human being, and wishes the same comfort and good life for others which he wishes for himself, it is a natural reaction to give in charity, to ease this suffering.
Allah (SWT) describes those who prevent the supporting of orphans and the feeding of the poor as “those who reject the faith” (107:1-3), as charity should be given in “prosperity or adversity” (3:134), without fear for one’s wealth. We should have faith that a sincere act of giving can only bring abundant reward:
Our impact
STCO has committed over $100,000 CAD to relief efforts, significantly impacting lives across Afghanistan. Notably, the Herat Project saw nearly $50,000 CAD provided in essentials to earthquake victims, highlighting our dedication to immediate and effective response in times of crisis.

Heart Earthquake Relief
Description: Following a devastating earthquake in Herat, STCO’s swift action facilitated the distribution of vital supplies,
ensuring affected families received food, water, shelter, and medical aid. STCO distributed food items like flour, rice, cooking oil, red beans, sugar, salt, and also detergent items like hand soap and dishwashing soup.
Eid ul Adha Qurbani
The Qurbani project by STCO exemplifies their commitment to community support during the festive season. This year, the initiative involved the sacrifice of four cows and two sheep, providing a generous supply of meat. The distribution program, which was conducted efficiently, ensured that the meat reached 300 families in need. By organizing this short program, STCO not only upheld the traditional values of giving but also strengthened the bonds within the community, making a significant impact on the lives of many during this special time.
Baghlan Flood Relief
Following a devastating flood in Baghlan province Afghanistan, STCO’s swift action facilitated the distribution of vital supplies,
ensuring affected families received food, water, shelter, and medical aid. STCO distributed food items like flour, rice, cooking oil, red beans, sugar, salt, and also detergent items like hand soap and dishwashing soup for 200 families.
Jalalabad earthquake Relief
In response to the earthquake in Jalalabad, a dedicated food item distribution initiative was organized to assist those affected by the disaster. The program successfully provided essential supplies to 200 families, ensuring they received the nourishment they desperately needed during this challenging time. The distribution included staple items such as flour, rice, red beans, and sugar, alongside green tea and cooking oil, which are vital for daily meals. This effort not only aimed to alleviate hunger but also to support the affected families in their recovery process, demonstrating a strong commitment to community welfare and resilience in the face of adversity.
